Team: James Yencken from Liquorice Studio with James Eagle & Amber Goedegebuure

We approached the project as a collection of designers passionate about design and the spirit of the project itself. Street posters and the vernacular of the city street really excite us. We wanted to capture the spirit of this by embracing the medium as the message. The temporary and transient nature of the street poster was our jumping off point and our final piece comprises not a single poster but rather the layering and removal of many. We took three separate statements, illustrating each typographically. We then pasted these posters on top of one and other and peeled back to reveal a forth and final statement 'peel this back'. Our message compliments that of the exhibition, encouraging people to explore the city and dig beneath the surface to find greater meaning in the urban environment.
