BUY CRUELTY FREE POSTERS (Fall 2019)
This series of posters was one of my final projects of my last semester at Henry Ford College. The assignment was to create a project about a social cause. I chose to do a series of three 11"x17" posters about animal testing.
Above are the sketches I made for the posters. My goal for this project was to show how cruel cosmetic and other chemical companies are to animals (without being too graphic) and on each poster they all say "BUY CRUELTY FREE" to encourage people to look for products that were not tested on animals.
I decided to use mice and rabbits in the illustrations because they seem to be the animals most tested on. I colored them in greys because when thinking of animals in labs they usually have white fur. The words "BUY CRUELTY FREE" on each poster are in neon colors because I want that to be the phrase anyone who views them to remember to buy cruelty free products the next time they are shopping.
