The origin of the word Astronaut derives from words meaning “star sailor.” I found the perfect practical application for this piece by tutoring my peers. I noticed how designed the Prentice-Hall textbook cover was and wanted to challenge myself to create a cover that would fit in of not look better. This piece was originally painted traditionally with oils on illustration board, scanned, and then digitally enhanced and corrected in Photoshop.
