This project was inspired by the BookDash initiative. This brief required me to write, illustrate, design and ‘publish’ an 8 - 12-page book for the ages 3 – 6. The story had to be developed based on a proverbial phrase from my childhood.
Many hands make light work, which means a task is soon accomplished if several people help.This proverbial phrase was told to me as kid, it taught me as a child that a task or problem can be solved or done quicker if there is more hands helping rather than doing it alone, especially during difficult times.
The story is about a Tiger names Tyler. Tyler loves to draw and one afternoon he decided he wanted to draw but encountered a problem. He noticed that we did not have all his crayons, he searched for his crayons with the help of his friends and they managed to find all his crayons.
I designed the book also as a learning process where children can learn about colours and how they look by highlighting the word in the colour.
