Momento is a project aimed to recreate the experience we have with clocks and how we interact with them.

The aim was to create a clock that can sit as a centre piece on a table, where the clock component is hidden by a fabric covering the face of the clock. The crown mechanism is contextually recreated to lift the vertical axis of the clock when turned by the user.

Interacting with the crown will mean the clock will rise and extrude against the fabric face covering, revealing the clock hands under the fabric in order to tell the time.

There is an emphasis on creating a unique user interaction with the clock in order to tell the time, as time will be hidden and unknown until the user decides to interact with the clock, further portraying a interaction-based experience.
