MODULAR GRID
The goal of studying grids was to gain better insight into how they might benefit a designer. Use of grids can help with establishing a hierarchy and effective content organization. There is much versatility in grids, with dozens of different kinds that are able to altered and adjusted to fit what the content needs. Overall, that is the goal for good design: that it allows for the content to be better understood in coordination with how the product is laid out. This project not only discussed grids, but also how they can be utilized along with other techniques to create visual hierarchy. By working with tension, scale, coding, and typographic color, clear visual patterns are created which flow from back to spine to front cover.
