Istanbul Riots in Taksim Square and Istiklal Caddesi
Experiencing the economic crisis the last few years in my country and covering the riots that took place there, the case of Turkey seemed particularly familiar. People's resentment against the government and especially young's people led to an outbreak of a series of riots thus losing their lives five young people.
The protestors are not these ones who are financially weaker but these who for them there is no justice. They called Beyaz Türkler (White Turks), they are the urban Republican elite, they are educated and they belong to the middle or upper kemalist class. They have adopted the western life style and they are and they oppose the Islamisation of the political system which brings them confront with the goverment of Tayyip Erdogan.

Demonstrations and riots took place in Istanbul, specifically in the Taksim Square and Istiklal Caddesi areas with riot police using tear gas and water cannon to disperse protesters who had gathered earlier in the day at an anti-government rally. Everything began on 28th of May when some protestors attempting to block the alteration of a park to a shopping mall. The police's brutality led to bloody riots.
