THE MEATPIES - BABYROUSA

Brief
The title "Babyrousa" refers to a type of wild boar whose horns grow spirally until it is embedded in its own skull, killing it. The album is a story of love and heartbreak, and the client chose this name because it recorded how the human being makes decisions that hurt, stumbling over the same stone again, as something inherent in his nature. The client wanted this concept to be reflected in the album design, in some way.
Proposal
Love is a party of emotions, and we choose the balloon as an element that synthesizes all parties: if we swell it too much or we squeeze it, it explodes. If it goes up into space, the pressure bursts it. Even sometimes it just deflates. The end of the balloon is inevitable. On the cover of the album a finger sinks into a strange blue surface. On the back cover, a view of the same finger, from inside the globe, increasing the tension of the image. When we open the package we discover a balloon that invites us to take it out, "sticking" our finger and participating in the story.

Brief
El título "Babyrousa" hace referencia a un tipo de jabalí cuyos cuernos crecen en forma de espiral hasta incrustarse en su propio cráneo, matándolo. El álbum trata una historia de amor y desamor, y el cliente escogió este nombre porque le recordó cómo el ser humano toma decisiones que le hacen daño, volviendo a tropezar con la misma piedra, como algo inherente en su naturaleza. El cliente quería que se viese reflejado de alguna manera este concepto.
Propuesta
El amor es una fiesta de emociones, y como elemento que sintetiza todas las fiestas encontramos el globo: si se hincha demasiado o lo apretamos, estalla. Si sube al espacio, la presión lo revienta. Incluso a veces él solo se deshincha. El final del globo es inevitable. En la portada del disco un dedo se hunde en una extraña superficie azul. En la contraportada, una visión del mismo dedo, desde el interior del globo, acrecentando la tensión de la imagen. Al abrir el pack descubrimos un globo que nos invita a sacarlo, “clavando” nuestro dedo en el centro y participando en la historia.
