This project was inspired by a cool tee I saw
in town, an 8-bit US flag. Also, thanks to Simon
Charwey's push for Ghana's native iconography,
I've been thinking a lot about adinkra. The funny
thing is, when you translate adinkra into low-res
bitmap art, it doesn't feel digital -- it actually feels
organic . . . handwoven.
It's been an insightful project.
