The Delftsche Studenten RoeiAlmanak is the yearbook of Dutch rowing association DSRV Laga. In 2018 I was a co-editor of the book as the Commissioner of Layout. The book counts 464 pages and 900 copies. Its 17 chapters cover the highlights of the 2017-2018 season, as well as details on all members, crews and committees of DSRV Laga.
The theme of the 12th edition of the book is 'Onverschrokken', or Fearless in English. Inspiration for the visual style comes from the Norse mythology, where Goddess Laga originates from. It shows in subtle ways, such as the drop caps at the start of articles and the knitted patterns used throughout the book. Giving the book a coherent visual style was challenging, with all the members of the association submitting their own materials.
