Ryzen 3800X Nixie Tube Clock

A 3D project to celebrate my new PC build and test out how the new 3800x performed at rendering. Turns out a new 16 thread CPU vastly outperforms a first gen i7 950 - no surprises there. 

I've always loved the aesthetic of tubes (and their tone in music and amps, but that is another story) what with their soft orange glow and vintage industrial feel. Nixie tube clocks with their glowing numbers and mixed material construction was a perfect rendering and modelling challenge, and allowed me to create the fanciful and glowing homage to my new CPU. 

Modelled in ZBrush, with materials and renders created in Keyshot. Final layer compositing and editing in Photoshop.
