Harvest for Hunger
In Broome County, 1 in 8 people don't know where their next meal is coming from. Every year, Catholic Charities of Broome County runs a campaign to raise money for their various food pantries and educate the public on the issue of hunger in Broome County.
The 2019 Campaign included a huge push on social media. Along with a series of Facebook Live videos, a collection of social media posts were published to give a face to the issue of hunger in Broome County.
Advertisements were placed in the local paper and online to promote the campaign and inform the public about ways to give via the website, at store checkout, or during the Live Telethon and Facebook events.
Outreach also included a mailer which was sent into the community along with a return envelope and donation form.
