PLASTIC SERIES
These series projected in a small book consists of twelve photographs. All of them with a different approach, where the use of the layers, the assembly between the photographs, and the technique of Risograph serve
as a mediator between two worlds: artificial and natural. There is not just one connection, there are many components. Together, they rise to multiple meanings of the combination of two poles. In these series,
we can observe contrasting elements between the natural flower and the plastic inserted in the artless nature. While plastic and other man-made elements are normally seen as opposed to nature, in this project, it shows
the possibilities of that contrast. Cutting the photographs, adding them to each other, adding elements of color, shapes, compositions, sizes.
The Plastics Series gain a new interpretation and reorganization, where the contrasting elements engage in conversations with one another. The flowers that seem natural to us at first glance, are artificial.
We can also observe vases made artificially with the computer, which allows us to question to what extent the portrayal of nature or artificially items can arrive? Is nature artificial or is it natural art? Are you about to disappear into the artificial universe of our world? Or perhaps the artificial components are creating the very nature that has always existed, only in different ways around us?
