VISUAL IDENTITY DESIGN FOR THE ARTIST, SONGWRITER AND AUTHOR, NIKI PAPATHEOHARI, APPLIED IN A SERIES OF APPLICATIONS THAT VISUALIZE THE COMPLEX CREATIVE VISION OF A PERSON DRIVEN BY ITS ECCENTRICITY AND PASSION.
The were assigned to design the artist’s personal cards in two different versions as well as the design of a printed professional portfolio that accommodates her work.
In order to visualize the particular aesthetics of the artist's work, we designed a unique typographic logo, based on Niki Papatheohari's actual writing style, to convey her personal genre of style regardless of its application, physical or digital.
To implement the extra applications, we focused on individual elements that characterize her work, such as embossed textures imitating the stones and smooth surfaces imitating the liquid elements of her work. These elements were imprinted through a tranquil color palette, using special papers and specific printing techniques, such as inflatable ink, cutters, hot press foil and corrugated paper.
Specifically, on the B side of the corporate card applications, we simulated the artist's stone sculptural creations through the composition of the typographic elements of the logo, with an almost 'distorted' attribution as Mrs. Papatheohari mentions when referring to her work.
