Pen and Ink Illustration
This illustration was done as part of my first year university course, amd was part of a series of three illustrations. It is a illustration of my younger sister, and incorporates elements of perspective drawing and portraiture. This particular illustration was by far the most successful both in terms of the composition and in technical exceution. The drawing was done on Hot Press Illustration board using a dip pen and a cross-hatching type style of line.
Scratchboard Portrait
This illustration was done as a personal work and more as a experiemental activity. I felt the intial sketch which was done for fun in my sketchbook would translate really well into the media of scratchboard. The illustration was done on essdee scratchboard using art scalpels as tools.
