Como o estabelecimento possui o nome de um dos Reis Portugueses, que marcou a história de Portugal – Mestre de Avis, D.João I. Surgiu como ideia, a reconstrução da batalha de Aljubarrota, mas com uma intenção diferente e divertida. Como é bastante destacada a dualidade no estabelecimento (salão de chá, café-bilhares) mesmo presentes por cima das montras com um lettering em néon, a batalha foi então disputada entre estas duas características. Através de um estudo das pinturas medievais representativas da batalha, a perspectiva errada e outros elementos, foram fortes influências para a realização das ilustrações que foram feitas a marcador directamente na vitrina.
