Two Designer Accordion

Two Designer Accordion
As an admirer of Easter graphic design practices, I was delighted to have the chance to choose a typographer that I could research freely. Sang-soo Ahn was, in my eyes, a perfect compliment to Herb Lubalin, a revolutionary western typographer. I worked to make this accordion focused on typography and how it played with the images.

It was crucial to me to focus on the possibilities of the type, which is why I created a small section to isolate the imagery, using different elements to connect the type and the imagery. An assignment that led to a great volume of research material, there was a refinement process, almost like editing a zine. The accordion book is shown below, with some digital files of connected spreads and other images taken while it was presented.
