MADMOON is a set of posters inspired by music and all sorts of psychedelic imagery.
These illustrations are the result of an exploration made with scanned pieces of paper that I did in the year 2016. In the beginning of this year, I turned these old images into new imaginary and psychedelic 'landscapes'.
The illustrations and the typography used ended up being bold and heavy, in contrast of the volatile and liquid textures. I wanted to retain most of the light artifacts (like the chromatic aberration) from the scanning process, since I think that it gives the pieces a unique look and I totally embrace that lo-fi quality from the scanner.
The title of the collection comes from the song 'Crossin' the Madmoon' by Pieces of a Pensive State of Mind.
To accompany everything, I made a selection of music tracks that inspired (and was inspired by...) the creative process.
