My first try in a symbolism orientated approach for a short video with music. The idea is from the notion that this world is not divided by good and evil, black and white or right and wrong. It's the gray tints that make it all it up. Hence the name Antumbra, the area in a shadow were true shade does not quite end and light does not quite begin.
The flowerpot. You can imagine beautiful flowers, but you can also see it as it is, discarded and overlooked.
Pottery shards. You can imagine the pots still whole standing on shelves or maybe holding flowers, but you can also see them as they are. Broken pieces, perhaps deliberately broken by an angry person.
The canopy of a forest filters the light, creating a kind of gloom that can't quit be described as dark but also can't be described as light. Same goes when dealing with people, but then the other way around. People hide their darkness behind smiling faces creating a kind of filter between light on one side and dark on the other.
The final product, hosted on Vimeo.
