THE PROJECT
Created for an AIGA Tampa Bay sponsored show, Moq: An Exploration In Design, this redesign project tackled a classic, long-standing brewery in Historic Ybor City, FL. Cigar City Brewing Company has been a part of the Ybor community for over a decade.
Ybor City was developed by businessman Vicente Martinez Ybor beginning in 1886, and was for a time the world's leading supplier of cigars. The Cigar City redesign uses this as a creative focus, combining hand-drawn botanical elements with Spanish-inspired decorative borders, modern typography, and bold colors.
