For this series, I wanted to focus on capturing and isolating parts of a whole. I chose the moment that the athlete leaps over the hurdle, as well as the starting point, as that point is filled with the most anticipation. By framing the starting point with the hurdle, it allows the viewer to focus on that moment and see the quiet chaos before the exciting thrill of the race.
