Following the third joint conformity inspection of Medical and Dental Schools and Teaching Hospitals in Uganda carried out from 10th to 14th February 2020 by the East African Community (EAC) and the National Medical and Dental Practitioners’ Boards and Councils of Uganda, Kampala International University (KIU) Teaching Hospital has emerged as the only institution approved to train students in Dentistry in Uganda. Other medical colleges had their training suspended by the regulatory bodies.
