Tooncast Studio: SpongeBob Squarepants
This software allows you to create your own Spongebob cartoons. Includes voiceover by Tom Kenny, actual artwork from the series, and hundreds of characters, props and effects.

I worked directly with the client, Nettoons, and Nickelodeon's marketing department to ensure the product met their packaging standards.

Poser Pro 2010
Original Cover Art by Paul Sutton. I then re-retextured the hair - adding a great deal of detail. Masked out the entire image, and enhanced details and color throughout. I completed all design and production. Final sales surpassed expectations. I blame the box.

StuffIt Deluxe 2011
This box design was chosen to highlight the new User Interface of StuffIt Deluxe. All those cool icons there - yeah; I did those. Previous iterations of StuffIt Deluxe were very dark and saturated. It was decided that a more open and white box would be a welcome change. I also created the "Stuffit Deluxe" logo text.

muvee Reveal HD
This product needed a box geared more towards the experienced videographer. I went with a deep blue grey gradated background behind the saturated action shots. Clean, colorful and engaging.

muvee Pixie
Pixie was geared towards novice users who wanted to share their videos quickly. We needed a design that would resemble the HD product while being visually lighter and more playful. The green was selected to match a previous iteration of the software box released by the developer - (Smith Micro was the distributor)

Spring Cleaning 11 Deluxe
Spring Cleaning Deluxe was the 11th release of the software. Previous versions of the box were essentially a large broom on a white box. Software vendors needed something new. The brought the size of the broom down and created a warm, spring background complimented by gold-foil usage on the cover and spine. The logo was altered from green and black to green and a deep brown, furthering the unity of color between the objects. Resellers were ecstatic about the updated design, and sales of the product were higher than expected. I also wrote all the content and descriptions for the packaging. A little fun fact for you: The yellow background was inspired from the color of the Mr. Clean liquid cleaner.

Panorama Maker 2
For the cover I selected a rich and saturated cityscape. The large type across the type created a perfect visual balance with the color at the bottom. The 3 features on the front darken as they get farther from the source of light; a nicely subtlety which helped created more unity between the text and the image. The cityscape image was also seamlessly stitched to wrap around the entire box.

Anime Studio Pro 7
The latest version of Anime Studio Pro was to be nearly identical to the previous iteration. Same radiating lines, similar blue color, but with a new "hero" image. I had to recreate much of the original illustration in order to tighten up the lines and improve some of the coloring. Inner spreads contained were completely redesigned from the previous version of the software.

Imagic 5
This is a product that tries to do everything, making it difficult to focus in on a singular message. How does one sum up a dozen different product features into one single image?

The Solution? Hot girl.
Then Photoshopped in a hand with a camera, and went out for a beer.

All joking aside, this was a challenging project. But research showed that much of the competition in video and photo software markets were also creating packaging with pretty girls on the front. I opened up the design a bit to have less clutter and relied more on white space. Rolling curves were present through the outside and inside spread of the box, creating a nice soft, fluid look.

Poser Debut
A new product in the Poser product line. This one geared towards those wanting to try 3D for the first time.

I created the packaging, art directed the artist who did the cover. Wrote and edited most of the copy as well.
