The Awakening of Zeniborrete is a personal project of mine that shows the moment when the Zeniborrete robot woke up to life. The first objective was to improve my skills in V-Ray and Maya (in which I didn't make nothing yet apart from follow some basic tutorials) and to make something with a steampunk and fantasy subject. I took slightly more than one month since the creation of the reference gallery, initial concept art, scenario modeling, UVs mapping of the scenario and the robot, materials creation, illumination setup, adjusts in the general composition of the scene many times, to the post-production (all these with a lot of tests and studies). The robot was already modeled by Eric Soares there was a time. The initial idea was to render three or more points of view at least, but I was already very tired and decided to render just the main point of view. The rough render disappointed me a little because I wanted to have detailed a lot more, but in the post-production I polished the image and liked the result.

Eric Soares: "The idea of the Zeniborrete robot came from my steampunk and fantasy inspiration. The Zeniborrete arose from the idea of robots that could have consciousness if they had blood in their fluid tubes and this consciousness could make him good or evil. Zeniborrete burns blood given by humans that look for him to fulfill desires. That burn produces the energy that he uses to fulfill desires of all kinds. Apart from Zeniborrete there are eight other robots, all made by a family called Stentorian.
