Being outside the context of package, thinking and conceptualizing in three dimensions. After figuring out the construction, I played with different associa- tions with textures on surfaces.The outer layer is covered in black felt, while the inner layer is made of glossy photo paper of fresh red meat.
The octahedron, the core, is simply made of paper and covered with drafting film to indicate the bone, but only with texture, not imagery.
