Yggdrasil liquid honey from Honningcentralen A/L
Yggdrasil is a new range of liquid honey from Honningcentralen, the leading honey producer in Norway.
The design is inspired by the stories of the viking gods and norse mythology. It is said that honey drops falls from the leaves of Yggdrasil, the world tree. When the gods held their counsils, they gathered around this tree.
This project was a collaboration between Jana Hestevold, Guro Waagene, Jonatan Austigard and Martine Hage
Yggdrasil comes in three flavors, whereby each is represented by a god, who's personality suits the flavor.
Heather honey represented by Odin, the allfather, ruler of the gods, and the god of wisdom
Forest honey represented by Tor, son of Odin, the thunder god, and the foremost warrior of the gods
Raspberry honey represented by Balder, son of Odin and Frigg, the mildest and most beautiful of the gods
Each flavor is complemented with a historical symbol of their god
