[EN]  The Noah Boat Tour is a new concept of sightseeing tours in Ilhabela, a city of São Paulo – Brazil. The tours only happen with scheduled time and without a fixed route. The boat seeks to show the “B side” of the island, offering scuba diving, sport fishing, adventure, and, of course, many pictures. Commanded by locals, the tour tries to value the nature and the hidden secrets of the Sailing Capital, as it’s called. After several researches of the segment, it has been noted that there used to be a gap in both verbal and graphic communication of the companies. Therefore, the biggest challenge was to represent the brand in a simple, elegant and attractive way that should be visibly different from the other competitors. Since Ilhabela has a great tourism throughout the year, the other challenge was to verbally communicate with both national and foreigner tourists. Noah, or Noé, is known as the famous biblical character that built an ark to save the animals from the flood. On this basis, the origin of boat tours was saved, having as the brand’s main concept, praising the local resources of the Island. A native (pirate, as they like to be called) speech was created for the tourists, so that in an indirect but explicit way, some messages received the crossed out text resource to bring the double meaning of the sentence, in a way that does not interfere in the message comprehension. For example: "WELCOME ABOARD" – not for every native (pirate), the tourists would be welcome, unless it’s for business/tourism. Some messages in English language were also written in a different typewrite to reach the foreigners, creating a universal speech to any public.  For the construction of the visual universe, graphics were created illustrating the sea, wind and sun. As chromatic pallete, the black was used to represent the hidden side, and the white representing the visible side of the Island. For the scuba diving references, was used the red color, but in a less emphatic way; and as photo editing, the B/W with high contrast and noise, to symbolize the mysteries of the Island and the sand.​​​​​​​
