One of my latest projects involves a non formal education manual about Invisible Theatre, a type of Theatre of the Oppressed method, developed by Augusto Boal in the '60, in Brazil. He experimented with theatre in order to give voice to the oppressed, to empower them to fight the oppression in their life.
It is implemented in public places (streets, cafes, restaurant, shops,
etc.) and it is based on an initially planned scenario, which is then
changed by the people from the public space. The initial scenario
includes and anticipates engagement of the audience – public present
on the location of the performance.
The manual is written by Andreea Loredana Tudorache, part of the Art Fusion Association.
