HAUT
THE WATER CARAFE REDUCED TO ITS PUREST SHAPE
HAUT is a minimalistic water carafe presented in a new perspective. The functional elements are reduced into one integrated shape. By cutting planes of the base the spout and the handgrip are created. The controlled geometry gives stability and aesthetics to a reversed water carafe.

/ PHILOSOPHY / In contrast to the existing water jugs Haut distinguishes itself from the liquid it contains. The minimalistic angular shape and sleek design language gives an idea of how the carafe works. By cutting the top in an oblique direction, a spout is created. This spout gives a sense of direction to the way you hold the carafe; both by small and large hands. The thoughtful geometry makes Haut an elegant, stable and refreshing accent on your table.
/ PROCESS / Starting from different cardboard models I iterate to a polystyrene model with the right proportions. From this model I created a 3D print to make a mold. With the mold I was able to create Haut with a slipcasting production process and create a ceramic model.
