Churros!
One of my favorite things to do in Seville is try different tapas. Tapas are such a fundamental part of the Spanish culture. In Seville, the tapas are incredibly delicious. The original tapa was a small dish that the barman placed on top of your wine glass to keep the flies off. Pretty clever! Here are some of my favorites: tortilla (above), fried eggplant with honey (above, right)

My host mother's tortilla.
My host mother is an excellent cook. She prides herself in her cooking and expects you to eat everything…I mean it!
This is what a typical dinner looks like. We start off by having a bowl of soup, bread, salad, and tortilla. For dessert, we eat yogurt rather than chocolate or ice cream.
