Окна Нового Света / Windows of the New World
Новый Свет — исторический район города Гродно (Беларусь), расположенный в северной части исторического центра, на правому берегу реки Неман, в пределах улиц Мицкевича, Островского, Ватутина, Реймонта и части улиц 17 Сентября и Горького.
Novy Svet is a historical district of the city of Grodno (Belarus), located in the Northern part of the historical center, on the right Bank of the Neman river, within the streets of Mickiewicz, Ostrovsky, Vatutin, Reymont, and part of 17 September and Gorky streets.
Новый Свет представляет из себя совокупность зданий различных стилей и периодов, построенных как из кирпича так и из дерева, кроме того имеются полудеревянные-полукаменные постройки. В 20-30 годы XX века были возведены здания в стиле конструктивизма, в том числе его редкой деревянной разновидности.
The new World is a collection of buildings of various styles and periods, built of both brick and wood, in addition, there are semi-wooden and half-stone houses. In the 20-30s of the XX century, buildings were built in the constructivist style, including its rare wooden variety.
С 2000 года проводится постепенный снос и перестройка зданий, из-за чего район теряет свою аутентичность.
