Homepool is a portable pool kit that turns almost any table into a pool table in minutes.
It all started during a workshop organized by Geologic, Decathlon's precision sports division.
The subject was to imagine a new precision sport that would be fun, easy to play, and requiring a minimum of equipment.

Playing pool is fun, but unless you are passionate about it and have a very large house, you can't play it at home.
For this reason (and also because it takes up a lot of space in stores), Decathlon did not sell pool tables.

My idea was then to clamp "holes" around a table and connect them with an elastic band, a bit like the RollNet invented by Artengo ( Decathlon's table tennis division ) a few years before.
The idea was selected, and my colleague Christophe and I were commissioned to shape it and develop a functional prototype.
After several iterations, the concept worked really well and sparked enthusiasm !
The project was then transmitted to Geologic's design team who improved it and released it in Decathlon stores in 2014.
