Visual style guide summary for TripAdvisor
The wise owl — minimally and metaphorically transformed .
The new logo identity aims to revamp and simplify the existing lockup with minimalistic geometry and intentionally constructed to represent a merge between two location points and overall symbolize the lens of travelers in the TripAdvisor community. These visual elements and motifs are used within the rest of the visual system.
Abstraction creates a sense of space.
The gradient circular imagery used within our system is an abstraction of destinations to create a sense of belonging, daydream, and airiness. The location point mark can also be used by adjusting gradients and blending modes.
Hues of certification & sophistication.
Our primary color palette is recommended to be used on clean and minimal surfaces, such as for headers, color lines, and typographic posters. These color swatches can be applied with blending mode styles to add transparency. 
A certified stamp of approval.
The wise owl logo is designed to be versatile on nifty tactile application ranging from stationery collateral to lanyards, and from merchandise to certificates that businesses can proudly present.
A brand that is suitable with a variety of photographic captures.
Photography brings an ethereal characteristic to the brand that inspire worldly travels and multicultural destinations promoted across the community.
