Don't Wait Till They Are Gone // In Memory Of

Project: To address the problem of realising the importance of a heritage only when it is soon-to-be-demolished or demolished. It also aims to encourage Singaporeans in showing greater appreciation towards the local heritage as they may 'disappear' due to the rapid urban development of Singapore.

"In Memory Of Tiong Bahru" uses satire to address the project brief, where in these deliverables, it has been made that Tiong Bahru doesn't exist anymore due to unforseen circumstances. Therefore, the book and photographs are the only 'remains' of Tiong Bahru for the future generation. It is an irony as Tiong Bahru still exists, and being conserved by the local government due to its historical values.

The purpose is to serve as a reminder to people that we should not take our heritage for granted as they may be gone before we even realise it.
