SERBIA by NIGHT
I was born in Croatia in 88 and by 92 we were immigrating to Serbia due to war. By 97 we were offered papers to legally move to the U.S.A. My family and I have now been living in the United States for over 20 years. The rest of my family has remained in Serbia. They live in a small town outside of Belgrade called Bolec. Family is very important to me, so I visit every year. Over the years, I have learned that majority of people have a misconception of how Serbia is. I feel it's my personal responsibility to show it in the light it deserves.

This is what a small town in Serbia looks like. Many red roofs in the distance, constant noises of saws, roosters, cars driving by & neighbors talking loudly. The food is salty and the people are sweet. It's the kind of place where you can go on a stroll down the street, see your neighbor and stop by for coffee and cigarettes. You will always be offered drinks immediately upon arriving and nine times out of ten a plate of delicious homemade treats.

So stop by.
