Swinburne Innovation Week 19

For their 2019 Innovation Week, Swinburne University of Technology's Innovation Precinct invited us to imagine an exciting vision for their week of industry talks, workshops and events. This called for a cutting edge series of designs to speak to a broad audience of students, teachers and industry leaders.

After initial research and development, we decided to approach the creative from a mixed-media perspective, nesting 3D elements inside simple 2D forms to create a dynamic future-tech appearance akin with key speakers & their respective innovation industries (Fintech & Medtech).

Multiple geometries were built in Cinema 4d, animated with contour shading before being composited & graded in Adobe Photoshop. The final results were abstractions reminiscent of neurological and cellular structures, representing the ripple effect of innovative ideas and their consequent impact on our world.
Our early explorations for futuristic innovations in Med/Fintech centred more around post human forms and their connection to said fields via virtualisation and augmentation.
As we started our creative process in 3D, it was very easy to imagine how motion could enhance and deliver our key message across a myriad of digital platforms.
