TUTORIAL: How I manage AUDIO
my current workflow
For the past year, I'd defaulted to the Essential Sound tool set in Premiere Pro to edit each clip within my timeline - you know, vocal presence, clean up noisy audio, all that. I have recently come to realise that editing entire tracks as opposed to clips save me more time. The seamless integration of Adobe Audition to this workflow has improved my understanding of sound at virtually no additional time cost to me - the integration is as easy as a right click. The fast correction of noise contamination and reverb are enough to fix most of my problems and the Audio Track Mixer does the trick for the rest with some help from its Parametric Equalizer. I explain these using a simple example in the video linked below.
All in all, this tutorial was a really fun one to shoot and I was particularly excited to add Adobe Audition to my list of tutorial topics covered. No doubt my workflow will change over the next projects, and I may find more efficient ways to add crisp to Audio, but for now, lets leave it at this.
