For my FMP i wanted to do something that was influenctial and would make a difference to teaching and learning. I'm a huge fan of children's book illustrations so i decided i'd do a children's book.
When it came to doing my children's book i decided i wanted it to be educational and fun for both children who are visually impaired and ones who aren't, to do this i had to include both text and Braille which was a challenge in itself(with me having to redo a few pages quite a few times). To make the book fun and educational i wanted to add touch and feel to it so they would understand how an animal would feel. The touch and feel was also a challenge as having to glue two pieces of car dtogether with thck materials inbetween without bumps in the page was a difficult task to achieve, but i managed it.
below are sketchbook pages showing my development.
below is a reply from a lady i emailed enquiring about how Braille is used in books, to find out the specifics so i knew how to include it in my book.
