I was one of 27 artists taking part in the Typocraft Helsinki '19 exhibition, which took place at gallery Lokal and a satellite exhibition at Erottaja 2 in Helsinki. The curators of TypoCraftHelsinki are gallerist Katja Hagelstam and graphic designers / art directors Ilona Ilottu, Ilkka Kärkkäinen and Tuija Tarkiainen.
Oxytocin is a peptide hormone and neuropeptide. It is produced in the hypothalamus and released by the posterior pituitary. It plays a role in social bonding, sexual reproduction, childbirth, and the period after childbirth. It's also a what I named my 3-dimensional study of love in a typographic form.
Oxytocin is made of Finnish birch, painted with acrylics. The artwork can be hung on a wall or placed on shelf as a self-standing piece. The piece measures at 54 cm x 70 cm x 12 cm.

The theme of the Exhibition was “Kauno”, or “Joint Writing”. Participating artists were asked to design artworks or products that take “Kauno” as their starting point.
The sculpture was on display at Lokal gallery during Helsinki Design Week. Typocraft logo by Eino Korkala.
Oxytocin was sold and is now on display at Uppsala University Hospital.
