3D Brush for lettering in procreate

  • This project contains sketches made with several new brushes for procreate app, which, thanks to the effects of light and shadow, give the letters a 3d look and chrome effect. Despite the similarity, many brushes are different in form, which will help calligrapher designers to develop commercial projects, I think soft letter fans will especially appreciate these brushes. The way these brushes allow you to work with form and color opens up new opportunities for calligraphers and lettering artists to use their skills. Brushes are the latest Retro Pack update, and are included only in my Megapack. Those who have already purchased Megapack on the Creative Market or Yellow Images will receive updates for free (check the site for notifications in the mail). New customers will find these brushes in special "Update" folders. Hope you will enjoy this project and my work, will be glad if you push a appreciate button ;)

"I had tried out a few things on Procreate in a rather lukewarm way but it was only when I discovered Nick’s sets of brushes that I felt excitement growing by the minute, like a kid being dropped in a gigantic amusement hall. It’s abundantly clear that Nick has done some serious research watching and listening to fellow letterers and calligraphers when he designed these brushes. The variety of brush tips and strokes is such that I can only wish for another lifetime to try them all out. Along with the Procreate app, the brush sets enable me to come up with a workable design much faster and on top of that, they stir my creativity, invite me to look at letters and composition in a different way and make it so much easier and exciting to experiment. Finally, as a lot of these brushes are sensitive to pressure, they still require a trained hand and eye, so these brushes, wonderful as they may be, will not replace the skill that is needed to produce decent work - which is a good thing, after all. Many thanks, Nick, for all the work you put into this. And now I’ll tell my kids to make sure they bury me with my Apple pencil." - Yves Leterme.

"Truly great and easy to use stuff. I already designed a few commercial logotypes using Nikita’s Brushpen digital brushes for initial sketched concepts that I refined and vectorised then." - Sergey Shapiro.

"Good pack , a lot of brushes !!! My favorite brush is a Tombow , really like original." - Ivan Fans.

"Being an owner of these brushes and having done many tests of them I can say that, after understanding their dynamism and how they work in different pressures and inclinations, they faithfully reflect the movements and the different sensations that a pointed brush can give you, from the stroke that it is never the same as the randomness of the textures that give you the perception of working on paper.  I said pointed brush because I think that to recreate the true sensations of a flat brush is impossible but in general they are exceptional brushes and using them I realized that behind there is a great job of research and passion." - Nicoló Visioli.
