Australian Bush Fire

Australian Bush Fire Fundraising Project (WIP)
This is my own fund-raising project that is still a work in progress, in response to the Australian Bushfires. While Australia does have their annual fire season, this time it was especially bad and have devastated the wildlife there. Approximately one billion animals and tens of people have been killed including volunteer firemen. During this difficult time I hope to do something that would help relief efforts or even just raising awareness on how global warming is causing more extreme weather conditions.

My concept was to highlight the firemen that have risked their lives to put out these deadly fires and rescue the animals. I have plans to make this into a print to sell to raise money to help with the relief efforts. I made a choice to not detail any faces on the artwork as I felt that so many people have helped out that it did not seem appropriate to draw any one specific face.
Putting their backs against the flames to shield the animals.
I did some animal studies and chose these ones specifically because they were some of the species that were the most affected by the fires so far. I am thinking of making these into stickers to sell to raise money to donate to the relief efforts via the Singapore Red Cross.
This was one of the initial composition ideas I had for the print. However I felt that I wanted to showcase the firemen more.
