Proteus Illustration: Illustrator is coming to the iPad!
For the recent announcement that Adobe is bringing Illustrator to the iPad, I created this illustration in the beta app on the iPad to test the features and to use as a marquee image for the pre-release sign up page. It is a blast to use for illustration and is just getting started. I love drawing with the pen tool as much as I like brushes so it was a real pleasure to test drive an early version of this app.
I did a sketch first and imported it into the app as an image. Made it super easy to build the shapes right over my sketch.
Just to play around a bit I looked at the type features in the app and added some descriptors to this illustration about monsters.
It is currently being used on the product page for Illustrator, and on the page where you can sign up to be part of the pre-release testing going on this year.
