My presentation (LIL.U presentation):
Creating jewelry is a product of my imagination. It completes me. And it is an essential part of my life.
I met with the technique of wrapping the rope with thread in autumn 2015 and I fell in love with it. That´s when the LIL.U brand was born. The name of the brand LIL.U is composed of the name of my baby girl and the first letter of my name (Urška). Pronounced in english, sounds like a "a little piece of me", which symbolically repesents my little baby girl and of course my jewelry pieces.
LIL.U represents colorful and wearable jewelry, especially edgy and chic. Each piece of jewelry is accurately handmade by wrapping the rope with threads of different materials and colors. The rope as a basis allows me to create different shapes and structures. Jewelry is lightweight and pleasant to wear, even though it looks massive. My inspiration to create is color, nature and life in general. A blend of a variety of materials, styles and structures creates unique and modern jewelry design, which aims to clean and defined lines.
