Every year since I graduated from The Savannah College of Art and Design, I’ve been given the task of designing and painting the Bishop family Christmas card. 

        I’ve found that my mom is my most demanding client. But I get paid in food and free room and board so I can’t complain too much.

But I’ve also found that I actually enjoy creating the cards. With these cards I try to design something that pushes me out of my comfort zone and force myself to use colors that I don’t normally use and to simplify shapes and silhouettes.
