Ellesse - Ski Heritage clothing range and campaign design.
For a project at university I was tasked to design a ski heritage clothing range and campaign for Ellesse. The designs had to encompass Ellesse's rich ski heritage. After brainstorming ways to capture this I came up with the concept of going 'Off The Edge': taking the plunge into the unknown and pushing yourself to the limit.
I used imagery of sharp edges and lines representing not only the sharp corners of ice shards and ski tracks but the concept of going over the edge of your personal limit. I strategically placed the Ellesse logo right on the edges of the pieces of clothing as if it was physically disappearing off the edge. I used bright colours in the branding of the campaign sampled from the Ellesse logo to keep the existing branding consistent with what I was doing.
I came up with a simple hashtag campaign where users could tag #OffTheEdge on pictures of themselves pushing their personal limites and going 'off the edge'. The winners would get featured on Ellesses social media platforms and get 20% off the new clothing range.
