Kivalina is the small town in Alaska that is drastically influenced by climate change. The warming climate has led to troubles such as the accelerated erosion of the land where the villagers reside. Fish and wildlife that local community rely on for food have been forced to change their migration patterns— poor hunting increase of the cost of living and change customs and traditions that Inupiat community saved for hundreds of years. This publication presents the overview of the problems Kivalina community is facing and illustrates what obstacles they have to overcome to maintain their traditions.
