This design for the Queen Alexandra's Mounted Rifles Headquarters at the Linton Army Base was initially created as a quick concept to provide a frame of comparison for the cost of carrying out relatively inexpensive retrofits to existing buildings on the site. My design however was loved by the chief decision makers at the New Zealand Defence Force and so what was simply a cost comparison has now become a realised architectural project for Opus Architecture Palmerston North. The estimated $4 Million project will provide a healthy sum for the firm to continue to design upon in my absence.
