Timbuktoo publishing is an organisation run by Ms. Aparna Raman, who is also a Design Practitioner at Srishti School of design in Bangalore.
Timbuktoo publishes young authors and has beautifully illustrated books narrating the outstanding imaginations of children.
"The "Snake who wanted to Bake" is the outcome of a creative rhymes workshop conducted by Timbuktoo Young Authors Publishing at Papyrus 2018, the literary festival organised by Toddler’s Den early learning center, Ahmedabad.
At the workshop, children as young as 2, were encouraged to come up with zany, goofy rhymes about animals revealing the innocent relationship that young children have with their furry friends. The results were hilarious and lent themselves well to superb illustrations.
The Snake who wanted to Bake is an important reminder to us adults to suspend disbelief and embrace magical possibilities. Hope this happens to each one of you."
I had the opportunity of illustrating and designing the creative phrases written by these young students, and I thoroughly enjoyed the process of it.
