MALAYA STUDY GROUP / 2019

The Malaya Study Group exists for collectors of stamps, postal stationery and history of the states of Peninsular Malaysia, Sarawak and North Borneo. It was founded by the late John Morgan, and has chapters in Singapore, Malaysia, UK, USA and Australia today.

The brief was to reorganise existing content and design a new website for improved usability, to provide a more contemporary digital presence that would encourage potential members to join.

A deep gold version of the Malayan tiger serves as an emblem for the site, accompanied by a soft, elegant colour palette of greens and greys that reflects the rich heritage of the society’s areas of study. Monotype Corsiva is a script typeface that has been applied to all headings, a nod to the site’s predecessor.

Content was reworked into clear sections for meetings, resources and other key information. This included a members’-only section that could be accessed upon logging in and a news section for the latest updates.
