Florence Summer Festival - Estate Fiorentina
Celebrating Florence as an European Capital of Culture, Estate Fiorentina festival take place every year in summer. Over six month a great amount of events, expositions, concerts, pop up around the city.
For 2018 season I was asked to design the visual identity creating a new logo, posters, merchandise and advertising, social media and digital materials.
Inspired by the style and imagery of the 50s the illustrations depict iconic images like Elsa Marinelli riding a bicycle in the film "La risaia" and other pictures from great photographers like Cartier Bresson and Alfred Eisentaedt. They portray random moments of celebration, sharing and joy in some of the most beloved everyday spaces in Florence, like Piazza Santo Spirito, the cannotieri view of the Ponte Vecchio, piazza della Signoria and the Duomo.
